Superbond

Superbond is a professional-grade lash adhesive curing agent designed to instantly polymerise lash adhesive, locking extensions in place for superior retention and long-lasting durability. By sealing the bond at the molecular level, Superbond significantly reduces drying time, minimises adhesive fumes in the treatment space, and creates a strong yet flexible seal — essential for a comfortable, lasting lash set.

How to Use

1. Complete your lash application. Wait at least 2 minutes after placing the final extension before applying Superbond.
2. Dispense a small drop of Superbond onto a clean microfiber brush — less is more. Excess product can cause stickiness or irritation.
3. Gently sweep the brush along the bonding point of each extension, making sure contact is made at the lash base where the adhesive sits.
4. Allow to dry for 2–3 minutes in open air, or use a lash fan on a low, cool setting to accelerate drying. Do not direct airflow directly at the eye.
5. The curing process is complete once the bond feels firm and non-tacky. Your client may open their eyes.

Understanding Adhesive Fumes & How Superbond Helps

Lash adhesives cure through a chemical process called cyanoacrylate polymerisation. During and immediately after application, adhesive releases vapour — commonly referred to as "glue fumes" — as it reacts with moisture in the air. These fumes can cause temporary discomfort such as watering eyes or a mild stinging sensation if the client's eyes are open or if ventilation is poor.

Superbond accelerates this curing reaction at the bonding point, which shortens the window during which fumes are actively released. By sealing the adhesive faster, it reduces cumulative fume exposure during the set.

Ventilation & Application Environment

• Always perform lash services in a well-ventilated room. Open a window or use a filtered air purifier to maintain fresh airflow without directing drafts at the client's face.
• Keep the client's eyes gently closed throughout the application and for the full drying period after Superbond is applied.
• Avoid applying Superbond in enclosed, poorly ventilated spaces — this prolongs fume presence and may cause unnecessary discomfort.
• If you or your client experience persistent irritation, step into a ventilated area and allow the treatment room to air out before continuing.

Adhesive Compatibility

• Superbond is formulated to work with professional cyanoacrylate-based lash adhesives. It is most effective with fast-cure, professional-grade glues.
• Not recommended for use with non-cyanoacrylate or novelty adhesives, as the curing mechanism may not be compatible.
• If you are unsure whether your adhesive is compatible, test on a lash strip or a single extension before full application.
• Superbond is not a substitute for proper adhesive technique — correct isolation, placement, and glue quantity remain essential for the best result.

Limitations

• Superbond seals the adhesive but cannot correct an improperly placed or poorly isolated extension. Prep and placement technique remain the foundation of a great set.
• Excessive application may create a white residue (blooming) on the lash line. Use sparingly.
• Not a fume eliminator — it reduces fume duration by speeding the cure, but does not neutralise fumes already present in the air.
• Not for use directly on skin, in the eye, or on the inner lash line.

Storage

• Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
• Keep the cap tightly sealed between uses to prevent premature curing of the product.
• Recommended storage temperature: 15–25°C. Do not refrigerate.
• Shelf life: refer to the batch date on the packaging. Discard if the product thickens, discolours, or develops an unusual texture.
